Braille Belt
The meaning of the things we use/wear/purchase is as important as the thing itself.
That is the root of where this belt came from. I have always been fascinated by codes and often find myself dreaming of ways to use them in the construction of physical things.
When I used to see old military belts with two prong buckles and holes that went all the way across the belt, I would dream that the holes were Braille and that it would say something that would make me feel a little more confident going into the day.
(That was our original intent in making clothes and remains one of the most powerful things about “fashion”.)
So, we took our state motto and company credo “To Be Rather Than To Seem” and punched into this belt in Braille. It’s there more for you than for anyone else...and it’s a nice-looking design detail AND if you ever need to tourniquet a wound, or rescue a buddy from quicksand, you can use the holes in the letters to make it smaller.
