When I learned about Huston Textile, I couldn’t believe they existed.
Ryan and Kat Huston are artists who weave their own selvage denim from dyes they grow in their own garden. They’re more like alchemists than entrepreneurs.
Based in Sacramento CA, they dove head first into weaving textiles the same way we got into making jeans. They’re obsessed. They did their own research. They acquired vintage American machines. They’re all in.
The Huston's work with generative America cotton farmers and grow their own plants to create their dyes. Their small-batch fabrics are so beautiful you can put a frame around them and hang them on your wall.
Their small-batch fabrics are so beautiful you can put a frame around them and hang them on your wall. (In fact, if you buy one of these, we’ll send you a swatch in a frame.)
Their selvage is 100% American-made double slub denim, crafted from American upland cotton, spun and dyed in North Carolina. Blue sulfur dyed slub warp for a mineral dye quality that stays richer longer, with natural slub weft.
We have 9 yds of this fabric, enough to make 3 pairs.
Once you place the order we will call to discuss fit, size, length, thread color, and hardware.
This jean will be made to order and will require 4 weeks for delivery.
