This project began as my meditation on what I’m calling the “Great Pause” that we’ve all been living through.
Instead of looking at it as interruption, I started looking at it as part of the composition. In music, the “rest” is part of the piece, intrinsic to the music and the melody. I started painting with the biggest brush I could find, an old broom trying many of the notations for different rests.
Some of these bigger pieces are displayed as flags on the front of the shop as a drive-by art show. Ride by when you can.
